Silence never saved anyone, so I write

Christine DeMarsico

 Welcome

I am a writer, educator, and storyteller drawn to the places where life fractures.

I write about what happens after—after loss, after rupture, after the moment when the world no longer resembles the life you thought you were living. My work lives at the intersection of grief, womanhood, resilience, and the systems that shape us long before we have language for their power. As a woman, wife, mother, teacher, and business owner, I find life in the brokenness.

Stories to create change

A single bright feather, shaped like a phoenix plume in shades of deep crimson, burnt orange, and iridescent gold, lies across the open pages of a linen-textured notebook. The notebook rests on a stone tabletop scattered with small river stones etched with words like “hope,” “courage,” and “community.” Soft morning light filters through sheer curtains, casting delicate, dappled patterns over the scene. Captured from a slightly elevated angle in photographic realism, the feather’s intricate barbs and subtle sheen are in sharp focus, while the background fades gently. The mood is quietly empowering and contemplative, symbolizing rising from hardship into purpose through storytelling and shared experience.

We find power in shared humanity, in our stories, we rise as the mighty Phoenix.

An elegant, minimalist home writing nook featuring a matte black laptop displaying a blank document, a slim wooden cross standing upright beside it, and a stack of dog-eared paper manuscripts tied with natural twine. The desk is a smooth oak surface against a soft, off-white wall adorned with a simple line illustration of a phoenix rising. Warm pendant lighting overhead creates a gentle pool of light on the workspace, leaving the surroundings in soft shadow. Photographed from a three-quarter angle with balanced composition and moderate depth of field, every object feels thoughtfully placed. The atmosphere is focused yet inviting, conveying a sophisticated, faith-infused space where educational stories and lived experiences are crafted to inspire change.

In a world of civil unrest and chaos, we write to make sense of the senseless; in our stories, we heal.
